#RelationshipGoals #KingdomCouple The day Cara Newton moved to Freeport, Grand Bahama she met Mikey Thurston. With a mutual love for gospel music, the two would become quick friends.
“We met the day I moved to Freeport,” she said. “He was hired before I got here to play bass in a band I was lead singer in. He also produced my first two gospel singles I released this summer.”
When the two got married on Nov. 25, 2017 in The Bahamas, guests expected music to be incorporated into their ceremony. So when Cara belted out ‘Total Praise’ made popular by the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, their friend LaQuez Williams happened to capture the moment from the best possible angle and the rest is Facebook viral history! Check it out below.
When asked if she thought the moment would go viral, Mrs. Thurston replied, “Nope! Not at all!”
Having known Cara for a few years (and totally stealing her mommy as one of my favorite people xoxo Diney!), she has consistently proven her vocal prowess in several genres.
