As The Commonwealth of The Bahamas gets set to prepare for its 40th Independence celebration, a group of young citizens who participated in the #Bahamas40Atl project will have their experience of promoting the country on May-July tour of Atlanta and Jacksonville hit the masses when the show debuts on July 10, 2013.
The JEM Music Group and DIRadiocast produced show takes viewers behind the scenes with Bahamians Miss Universe Bahamas 2012 Celeste Marshall, Rake ‘n’ Scrape artist Stileet, DJ Da Lioness, media executive and producer Africa Allah and publicist/media personality Arthia Nixon as they participate in various cultural and entertainment events and learn the Bahamian connections in the United States. Along the way, they find themselves in the midst of entertainers, diplomats, prominent members of the African-American community and tackle their biggest challenge – each other.
The experience of a lifetime also features Trinidadian entertainer and recording artist Jah Bami plus appearances from Atlanta social scene staple Hollywood Kid, DJ Ka’as and GAMface. With Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reid, The Bahamas Consulate of Georgia, Former Senator Tony Hill, Senator Audrey Gibson and first African-American woman to own a television station Clara McClaughlin in the mix, plus official grand marshal duties at the Atlanta Caribbean Carnival, there is no telling what will happen when raw emotions are documented on #Bahamas40Atl.
