Kenedi Treasure Celebrates Second Anniversary With Spring Collection Launch, New Website And Teen Models

Kenedi Treasure website (Atlanta, Georgia)… Kenedi Treausure celebrated their second anniversary as a teen-owned company by revealing their spring 2013 collection with new colors, watches, limited edition glitter embellished t-shirts and plans for another celebrity concert. The trendy site has already received a seal of approval from singer/actress Alix Lapri who revealed she visited during the Kenedi Treasure Easter Egg White Teen Celebrity Party. The sisters behind the brand, Treasure and Kenedi Bishop, had an amazing year that wrapped up last week in New York with their product landing directly in the hands of executives from BET, ESSENCE Magazine, Global Grind Magazine, The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism, and several teen leaders from Georgia, Washington, Maryland and more. In addition to getting their product outside their home city of Georgia, the sisters landed the cover of Caribbean magazine, eNue. While it has been all about business, the pair took time to give back to the community by hosting some 30 youngsters from Detroit to a spot in the VIP room at a Jacob Latimore concert they produced. “It’s not easy to balance work, school and all of these additional activities,” says 17 year-old Treasure who used her prize money from Al Sharpton’s National Action Network Power of One competition to launch her girls geared non-profit organizations. “It’s just been a great year for us and we learned a lot about business that most people our age don’t get to see until they are in business school. It’s not just about posing and looking cute. It’s so much that goes on behind the scenes. We have to check orders and make sure ship them daily and all other kinds of things. It is a real business!” “We wanted to share the experience with other teens so we recruited a few teen models,” added Kenedi, 16. “Our winners were Amauri Davis, Annecia Hopkins, Billie Sumiel, Greg’Niecia MacDonald, Jaslyn Brown, Jazmin Thompson, Lauryn Lawrence, Saniyah Mushatt and Zenobia Haynes. They were treated to a day of beauty, a photo shoot and are a part of our social media team to get the word out about Kenedi Treasure. We are all about focusing it for teens, by teens but we’ve got a lot of love in with the elementary level kids who rock our jelly watches and love collecting colors to match their outfits. Quite a few adult women wear our products too so I’m just glad we are doing it this long.” FOR FULL GALLERY OF THE KT DOLLS CLICK HERE
